Ron Renville 3-on-3 Tournament
Each year the NLBA hosts a 3-on-3 Tournament in memory of Ron Renville. He coached many teams for several seasons and was loved by many.
It is a fun day of basketball for all enrolled in the NLBA who want to participate in the Tournament. It is generally held late January/early February depending on gym availability. A small tournament is played within each division.
Playoffs are held at the end of every season in all divisions U11 and up. They are played on the regular game nights for each division (i.e., Wednesday for U18, Thursday for U15, and Friday for U13/U11).
The Division Coordinator (or Team Coach) will present 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes/medals to each player on each of the top 3 teams at the end of the playoffs.
Annual General Meeting (AGM)
The AGM is held at the end of every season. All members are invited and encouraged to attend. This is a public meeting to evaluate the most recent season and make plans for the season ahead. At the AGM all members of the current executive are to resign and a new executive is to be voted in.
The 2023 AGM will be held on April 19th @ 6PM, at St. Nick’s – mark your calendars!
Photo night is held on a Saturday early in the NLBA season. A sport photographer is arranged and every player receives a free “memory mate” photo of themselves, as well as their team. Players also have the opportunity to order additional photos and products through the photographer.
