Photo night is held on a Saturday early in the NLBA season. A sport photographer is arranged and every player receives a free “memory mate” photo of themselves as well as their team. Players also have the opportunity to order additional photos and products through the photographer. The goal is that photos are distributed to players prior to the Christmas break.
Ron Renville 3 on 3 Tournament
Initially, NLBA hosted a Jamboree which has evolved over time to a 3 on 3 Tournament in memory of Ron Renville. He coached many teams for several seasons and was loved by many.
It is a fun day of basketball for all enrolled who want to participate in the Tournament. It is generally held late January/early February depending on gym availability. A small tournament is played within each division using a the 3 on 3 games.
Playoffs are held at the end of every season in all divisions U11 and up. These playoffs are played on regular game nights. The playoff schedule will be posted on the website once the results and standings from league matches are finalized.
The Division Coordinator (or Team Coach) will present 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes/medals to each player on each of the top 3 teams at the end of the playoffs (generally immediately after the gold medal and bronze medal games).
Annual General Meeting (AGM)
The AGM is held at the end of every season. All members are invited and encouraged to attend. This is a public meeting to evaluate the most recent season and make plans for the season ahead.
The AGM is to be well-advertised.
At the AGM all members of the current executive are to resign and a new executive is to be voted in.
